The Pump House at Riverside Drive in Cranford plays a crucial role in managing stormwater in the area. It houses five pumps that work continuously to remove stormwater from Riverside Drive and streets east of Riverside Drive to Orange Avenue. The water is then pumped to the Rahway River. The Pump House is capable of pumping out an impressive 17,000 gallons of water per minute.
