CRANFORD -- The Cranford Township Committee has appointed Captain Matthew Nazzaro as the new Chief of Police. This decision follows the retirement of Chief Ryan Greco.

Chief Nazzaro will officially take office on December 1 and will collaborate with Chief Greco to ensure a smooth transition. Mayor Brian Andrews highlighted the thorough selection process, which involved written evaluations and in-person interviews. He praised the strong pool of candidates from within the department, stating that Captain Nazzaro has already made significant contributions to the Township and will continue to serve Cranford effectively.
