**Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office Mourns the Loss of Detective Sergeant Monica Mosley**

On October 16, 2024, the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office announced the passing of Detective Sergeant Monica Mosley. She began her career at the Prosecutor's Office in 2006, initially serving as a paralegal specialist. In 2009, Mosley transitioned to the role of County Detective and served in multiple units, including Trial Teams, the Special Victims Unit, the Community Justice Unit, and the Professional Standards Unit where she was the Unit Supervisor.

Throughout her career, Mosley was recognized for her commitment to her community, serving with honor, dignity, and respect. She was described as a friend and role model to her colleagues. Her death was reported as a tragic loss, and the Prosecutor’s Office expressed deep sorrow for her passing.
