**Union County Prepares for Presidential Election on November 5**

Election Day for the Presidential General Election is set for November 5, 2024, in Union County. The Union County Board of Elections has outlined three ways for residents to cast their votes.

1. **In-Person Voting on Election Day**: Polls will be open from 6 AM to 8 PM on November 5. Voters can find their assigned polling locations on their sample ballots or by visiting the Union County Board of Elections website.

2. **Early Voting**: Early voting will take place from October 26 to November 3. Poll hours are from 10 AM to 8 PM on Monday through Saturday and from 10 AM to 6 PM on Sundays. Early voting locations are available on the Union County Board of Elections website.

3. **Vote by Mail**: Voters can apply for a mail-in ballot at the Union County Board of Elections website. Mail-in ballots must be postmarked or delivered to a drop box by 8 PM on Election Day. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot by mail is October 29. Voters can also obtain a mail-in ballot in person from the Union County Clerk’s Office until 3 PM on the day before Election Day.

Drop boxes for mail-in ballots will be available 24/7 until they close at 8 PM on November 5. Ballots deposited in the drop boxes will be collected by a bipartisan team of Election Board employees, accompanied by police oversight. All drop box locations are listed on the Union County Board of Elections website.

Voters who choose to vote by mail are advised to read the instructions included with their mail-in ballot carefully to ensure their vote is counted. Additionally, individuals can submit their ballots in person at the Union County Board of Elections office or the Union County Clerk’s Office, but they must present a valid New Jersey issued ID or driver’s license when doing so.

For more information on voting procedures, residents can visit the Union County Board of Elections website at ucnj.org/boe.
