Man Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Pursuit Crash

Staff Report / cypresslocal.org

On November 13, 2024, deputies from Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office attempted to perform a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle in the 800 block of E Louetta Road. The driver, identified as Montreal Frye, did not comply and led deputies on a pursuit, which ended when he crashed at the intersection of E Louetta Road and Aldine Westfield Road.

After the crash, Frye fled on foot and entered an unoccupied tow truck that was running. A nearby citizen noticed the incident and discharged two rounds, which failed to hit Frye but struck the tow truck instead. Deputies, upon observing the stolen tow truck, engaged in another pursuit.

The chase concluded when deputies were able to safely stop the stolen tow truck at the intersection of the Grand Parkway and Rayford Road. Frye surrendered to K9 “Mattress Mack” and was arrested.

Montreal Frye has been charged with Felony Evading, Felony Theft, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. His bond and court information have not yet been established.
